Armed and friendly(ish)

Flying spider octopus can do your bidding...

So, it appears that drones have now grown arms. Like something out of a nightmarish sci-fi flick, the Prodrone Robot Arm can pick up objects weighing up to 10kg and snip cables like metal-mouthed Bond villain, Jaws. The flying ’bots are designed to help emergency services and people who enjoy stealing chips from other people’s plates.

Get a grip

The Robot Arm sees drones flex their claws as they expand their repertoire from merely taking pics to cutting cables, turning dials, flicking switches… What next? Taking selfies, swiping right?
