Welcome to ’appy hour

Just like Bender, the fictional robot in Futurama, this mixology ’bot loves booze. Due out next year, the Pernod Ricard Opn is set to be the world’s first at-home ‘connected cocktail library’.

It allows users to knock up exotic concoctions with the tap of an app. OK, so it might ‘kill all humans’ – but we’ll be too hooched up to care.

This prototype cocktail-making machine draws on a database of 300 cocktail recipes. Custom drinks can be programmed in via a companion app.

The robot uses 75cl cartridges filled with spirits and intelligently tracks the levels, ordering fresh supplies that are delivered straight to your door.
