Golden drone

Got a spare £20k lying around and not sure what to do with it? We’ve all been there. So what are the options? Buy a car; invest wisely; buy a gold drone; put a deposit on a house. Hold on, what was that third one?

We’ve come a long way since flying kites was an acceptable way to spend time, and nothing says progress or glints so magnificently in the sun quite like the DJI Phantom 4 Gold Edition (dronesdirect.co.uk).

The 24-carat gold-plated drone has a flight time of 28 minutes, can reach a height of 100 metres, can be controlled from 2km away, and has a top speed of 44mph. And its 4K camera can capture pics and videos while automatically dodging obstacles.

It comes with a remote control, too (sadly not made of gold), plus all the other bits you need to get airborne. Go for gold!
