What would you recommend for your skin and hair as you spend a lot of time in the pool?
I use Murad Invisiblur for my skin – because that way you only need one thing rather than faffing around with lots of little bits. With short hair I don’t need much – bit of wax and ready to go.
As a TV presenter, is it important to your job to look good?
I think there’s a difference between looking your best and vanity. Regardless of what I’m doing I always try to dress smart and appropriately out of respect to where I’m going and who I’m with!
What’s your signature scent, and why?
I’m wearing Tom Ford at the moment because it was a present. I realised it was quite expensive (thanks mum)…What is it, four months till christmas? I may smell until December.
Who are your style icons?
I think with social media there are so many outlets to get advice from to help put outfits together, which I’m really bad at! I think Beckham is cool, David Gandy and Jamie Redknapp knows how to wear a suit.
Have you had any funny grooming fails?
I once got my chest waxed live on air and my fellow presenters waxed it the wrong direction. The pain will last with me forever!
How do you keep fit?
I’ve always been a fan of keeping fit. Love being outdoors and on a beach! I’ve been working with Speedo recently on a campaign called “Dive In”, giving free swim fit sessions to people all over the UK. I got hooked last year – my swimming has improved no end, and my level of fitness has increased dramatically. Not just a physical thing, I find it a great stress relief.
How long does it take you to get ready for a big event?
A big event usually means black tie, so I don’t have to spend too much time thinking about what to wear!
Would you ever wear make-up to cover up the signs of a big night out?
No!!! I remember when I first put make up on for a TV show I was filming in Cardiff. My dad walked past my room as I was applying some under eye stuff, and kind of just looked at me with a face like “what are you doing!”
